As mentioned in the meeting I am very concerned about the manner in which you report progress in the meetings. Hyatt's report is not being checked and challenged.
At present you state in your minutes of meeting that with 13% completed we are 2 days delayed based on the revised schedule and 14 days delayed based on the original schedule.
Attached is annex 8 of our contract with Hyatt.
According to that schedule 13% of the works should have been completed in week 9, the first week of September. Last Thursday we were in week 18.... To me that means we are 9 weeks delayed of which 2 weeks are agreed due to the change in piling. The remaining 7 weeks are pure delay.
By now walls and wall finishes should have started. We are very very far from that.
If every time new catch up schedules are being made it appears as if there is no delay when measurements are only made against those latest catchup schedules. My worry is that your last catchup schedule will show that half the works will be completed in the last one week only. In other words your method of site management is too theoretical. In the site meetings you are not challenging the contractor insisting on increased manpower. Neither do I see you being on top of pushing the contractor to order his materials in time. You only reject a precast beam when I tell you it is unacceptable to me.
In other words I'm questioning the effectiveness of your CM team on site.
As mentioned before on the wall of the meeting room we should at all times see the schedule and be able to refer to it. Last week it wasn't there and your reply that you wanted the walls clean left me speechless. Please print out attached schedule in a large format, stick it on the wall and don't remove it until this project has been completed.
Next week in the steering committee this will be our main concern to be addressed.
