This paper examines methods to maintain or improve productivity at the Thai Steel Cable Public Company Limited a major automotive cable produces while reducing labor costs it is possible that the company may significantly lower labor costs while still maintaining production capacity, through workforce reduction. The authors collected data on company productivity through surveys, the authors then used that information to balance the production line to reduce cycle times as shown in Yamazumi charts. The result an improvement in labor costs and increased capacity while following DMAIC, PDCA, and 5S principles through calculation and design as illustrated in Yamazumi charts
