5.1. Organic part sorting
Firstly, the objective is to separate organic and mineral
fractions in order to be recovered: mineral part as rubble in
class III landfill centre and organic part as a component of
SRF. Empirical tests led, at the beginning of the GISEMENT
project (described bellowed), have shown that this is mainly
composed of wood and polystyrene. The objective is to
increase low heating value of this fraction which is one of the
main parameter to evaluate SRF quality. The second objective
is related to chlorine and mercury values [9].
In fact, chlorine combustion generates hydrochloric acid
production which implies technical issue for the cement
factory equipment as corrosion and speed up clogging. It is
necessary to avoid it. Then as for mercury, chlorine
