According to Felder (2009), it was found that language teachers who adopt grammar
translation technique to teach English subject results in ineffective learning English in Thai
teens. The Ministry of Thai Education (2008) reported that after 10 years of the revision of
Thai education, the results were not as desired due to the lack of qualified teachers and the
lack of effective teaching methodology. Moreover, Mark (2011) reported that to reach the
national goal in improving Thai English ability, the qualification of the teachers should be
considered as teachers who are the gatekeepers between the subject and students in the
classroom play the most important role and are the deciding factor in the success or failure of
