writing again to inform you that your end attendance is in danger of dropping below 80%. It has now reached 57%. I would like to remind you that maintaining an end attendance of at least 80% is a requirement of both your student visa and your enrolment at Kaplan International English. You have already been counselled and informed in writing about this problem and informed of your obligations regarding your attendance.
This is your last warning, as set out in the school attendance policy, so we strongly urge you to rectify this problem as soon as possible. Should your poor attendance continue you leave us no other option but to inform the government that you are not meeting the requirements of your student visa. Before this step would be taken you would have 20 days to lodge an internal appeal to Kaplan International English; if your appeal is unsuccessful you could then lodge an external appeal. If you are reported to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP), there is a possibility you could be asked to leave Australia (full details are in the student handbook).
Your co-operation is appreciated. Please make an appointment to see me as soon as possible to discuss this issue.
