So, we're still working on it.
I know a lot of you have come to expect delays out of us, but we're actually really sorry about this one.
To be straightforward about it, the mode just needs more testing-- the work we're doing to fully overhaul the game engine and expose gameplay variables was a huge codebase change and it needs more iteration before it's safe for public consumption!
Here's what'll be going on:
Sometime tonight, we'll be posting the SoTF build live for people to host servers and test. We're not going to be loud about it, just an announcement here on the Steam forums and some basic instructions about how to get it set up and connected. This will be VERY LATE TONIGHT EST/EDT.
Tomorrow, we will be doing a louder, full-scale announcement along with some other cool stuff we have in store for you guys.
Again, sorry for the delay, but this is just how things go when you're dealing with huge code re-writes, you can't ever predict what's going to go wrong, and you end up pushing stuff back. This is totally normal in development, everyone does it. You guys just get to see us go through it in a very real and raw sort of way, so thank you for your support and continued patience with us.
We've been working all night on this, and none of the core dev team will be sleeping until we've got this in your hands tomorrow.
Thanks again,
- The Right Hand, and the Studio Wildcard Team.
