Pavin Chachavalpongpun of Kyoto University's Center for Southeast Asian Studies described the campaign of disruption as "a kind of slow-motion coup." He said that the Election Commission and other state agencies, including the armed forces, are "dragging their feet in showing any support for Ms Yingluck's administration or the elections. The mob couldn't have come this far without their support.
