The number of alleles observed will be used to calculate a percentage profile. The percentage profiles are calculated based on the number of alleles observed compared to the maximum number of alleles that could be seen in a full profile of that person. A homozygous locus with peak height above 150 RFUs is counted as two alleles. Below 150 RFUs, a homozygous locus is scored as a single allele with possible allele dropout (fail – F). If the number of alleles observed for a profile is over ten, then the profile is scored as a success, otherwise the profile is scored as a failure.
