Phraya Nakhon Cave is a big cave with exquisite scenery and is located at “Sam Roi Yot” district, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province (Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park), Thailand. The cave was discovered by the “Phraya Nakhon Si Thammarat”, he accidentally discovered this cave while seeking refuge from a storm.
Phraya Nakhon Cave was developed by King Rama 5 when he visited the place, King Rama 7 and King Rama 9 also visited the cave twice. The signatures of King Rama 5 and Rama7 can be seen inscribed in the wall. This place is used as a symbol/landmark for the province due to its importance.
The cave is no more than ~1Km away from Bung Pu Beach or you could take a shortcut by boat service from Bung Pu Beach to Laem Sala Beach that can help you save ~530m so you could enjoy the ~430m walk to the cave. This is a must add to your itinerary when you’re going to Prachuap Khiri Khan Provice.
