This program provides a solid grounding in the broad concepts and specific skills students need to study professional architecture at the graduate level. It establishes a firm understanding of the field of architecture and an expansive way to view the world. It provides all prerequisites for eligibility to enter a two-year accredited professional master of architecture degree program for those seeking licensure. This program is not open to undergraduate students majoring in environmental design. Upon completion of the first year, students will declare their interest in pursuing architecture as their major. Criteria for acceptance into architecture is based upon portfolio review. Student portfolios are created in the student's first year.
