Browse to select the newly created Excel file or to look up an old one. Once you’re ready, click on Connect.
The Excel file opens and the Excel icon appears on the task bar. Now you can select the default worksheet of
the Excel file. The name of the ED worksheet must correspond with the name of one of the worksheets in the
Excel file! The ExcelActiveX_Read and ExcelActiveX_Write function will read from and write to the
default sheet if no sheet is given as a parameter. Switch `Excel visible at startup’ on to see Excel on the
background of Enterprise Dynamics.
The link has now been established and – when zoomed out far enough – can be seen in the Excel atom. Closing
the model also disconnects the link with Excel. Re-opening the model automatically establishes the link; steps
1 to 3 therefore do not have to be repeated manually each time!
