There was once a young woman who was so horribly ugly that there was no way she could get a boyfriend, so she decided to go to a fortune-teller to ask for help.
"Listen, my child," said the fortune-teller, "you will not find much love or happiness in this life, but in your next life your beauty will drive men crazy and they will drop to their knees begging for your love."
The young woman went away thinking happy thoughts about her future. As she was crossing a bridge, she thought, "The quicker I die, the quicker I will end this sad and depressing life and become beautiful in the next life." So she plucked up all her courage and jumped off the bridge.
Unfortunately, she landed on a barge loaded with bananas. Knocked unconscious by the fall, she woke up a while later, dazed and confused, but convinced she was in her next life.
Without opening her eyes, she moved her hands around and felt the bananas. With a satisfied smile on her face, she said, "Slowly, boys, slowly ... one at a time.
