Metallic alloy (10.0 mg), containing different percentages of Rh(III) was transferred to an Erlenmeyer flask and warmed in a hood until boiling for 45 min with 10 mL of concentrated nitric acid (Merck) and bidistilled water (2:1). The white solid was formed, filtered, and washed with cold aqueous nitric acid (2:1). Aqueous solution of 0.50 M NaCl was added to the filtrate using a micropipette until complete precipitation of AgCl. After filtering, the pH was adjusted with aqueous NaOH and the volume com-pleted to 1.0 L with bidistilled water in a volumetric flask.
