Nation
• A “nation” is a kind of community that has one or more following bases: Race, ethnicity, language, customs, religion and political memory.
• Nationalists see the nation as an objective reality with a long history and clear identity.
• In contrast, social scientists stress the modern and socially constructed nature of the nation.
• For Benedict Anderson, the nation is nothing but “imagined.” It means its members never have real relationships with all or many of other members.
