both company policy and the law prohibit bribery.
Most countries have laws that prohibit the bribery of their public officials. In addition, some countries or jurisdictions make it a crime to bribe public officials in other countries. For instance, if an employee of a U.S. firm bribes a Customs official in Turkey, he can be prosecuted under U.S. law as well as Turkish law. A number of international measures—including the United Nations Convention Against Corruption—are now in effect and are being implemented by national governments across the globe.
Regardless of which laws apply, our company prohibits bribery in all circumstances, no matter where in the world we do business.
