Fatty acid composition of mulberry fruits
The fatty acid composition expressed as percentage of the total fatty acid content of the eight mulberry clones is shown in Table 1. Fourteen fatty acids were identified and quantified in mulberry fruits. The most abundant fatty acids were linoleic (C18:2), palmitic (C16:0), oleic (C18:1) and stearic (C18:0) acids, in the fruits of both species M. alba and M. nigra, which together comprised approximately 96.77% of total identified fatty acids
