Regarding the soluble solids content the results did not show
difference (p > 0.05) between ripening stages (Table 1). Values of
soluble solids upper to this article were observed by (Silva et al.,
2008), studying the fruits of X. americana produced in Brazil in
two stages of maturation, that observed average values of 22.3–
26.5%. However, lower soluble solids values were obtained by
Mora, Franco-Mora, López-Sandoval, Pérez-López, and
Balbuena-Melgarejo (2009), that studying the characterization of
fruit of the same specie produced in Mexico found 10.9–17.0%.
