Permission to party
Full moon event allowed
Organisers were told by the army that the June 12 full moon party on Koh Phangan could ahead as planned.
Koh Phangan acting district chief Kasidet Thongchu was informed on June 6 by the Surat Thani Army District that the party could be held as the monthly event has nothing to do with politics or activities that might violate orders of the National Council for Peace and Order.
The Tourism Promotion Association on Koh Phangan and local hotel operators earlier sent a letter to the Surat Thani Army District seeking permission to hold the party.
