The limitations of space allow me to refer only to a few aspects of the problem list above, and storage, goods in and out and security always need special consideration. There is considerable activity surrounding goods in and out in an office building of any significant size, both in respect of the occupiers' own business and in respect of servicing the facilities. Bavaria House has a basement, including dry storage and a small car park with car hoist, a goods lift and one (of two) passenger lift. However refuse storage is non-existent, despite a room being designated as such on the plans, and due to multi-letting, the logistics of managing refuse and paper storage are a nightmare for FPM's executive manager. A compactor has eased the problem in respect of waste management, but the arrangements can best be described as a compromise.
