3. Results
3.1. Fertilized eggs
The percentage of egg dry mass composed of lipid (percent lipid content)was 29.5% (Fig. 1). Of this percent lipid content, 19.8% was SFA,31.5% was MUFA, and 43.7% was PUFA (Fig. 2). The main SFA was 16:0, the major MUFA were 16:1 and 18:1(n-9), and the predominant
PUFA were 20:4(n-6), 20:5(n-3), 22:5(n-3) and 22:6(n-3) (Table 1).
