The normal fruits were borne in
clusters (DBSR-52 × S. indicum, DBSR-91 × S. aethiopicum, DBR-G-
190 × S. aethiopicum, Sel-91-2 × S. aethiopicum, G-190-10-12 × S.
aethiopicum) but fruits were parthenocarpic with little or devoid of
mesocarp. This could be linked to allelic incompatibility atfertilization
and the development of normal fruit
