It is well known that the CP films twist by self-aggregation because of the electrostatic properties resulting from the presence of chlorine group in their structure (APC, 1996). Our recent study revealed that the ozonation could selectively increase the hydrophilicity of the PVC surface among pellet polymer mixture including PET, PC (polycarbonate) and PMMA (poly (methyl meth-acrylate) (Okuda et al., 2007). Hence, the objective of this research is to recover PP and PE films from the PPW without the CP films contamination by the combination process of the wet gravity sep-aration and ozonation. The effects of ozonation time, twisted area, and mixing speed on the separation efficiency of the CP films from the PP and PE films were studied.
