Healthy and moderate sized (8.02 ±1.44cm and 5.51 ±1.16g) Java barb (B. gonionotus) were col-lected from the local fish farm (Digarkanda,Mymensingh) and reared in the cemented rectan-gular tank and allowed to acclimatize to the la-boratory conditions for 15 days to remove the suspected unhealthy subjects (handling and transportation stress) at 24-25°C.
