In this section, we evaluate the performance of CDLC (a= 0.1) by comparing it with five previously proposed methods (DC, LAC, SoECC, PeC, and CoEWC). We test these methods with the same PPI data and gene expression data. Then, we delete from the static PPI network the proteins excluded from the dynamic PPI network and the interactions related to these proteins. The comparison results are shown in Fig. 4. CDLC performs better than all the other methods. Moreover, for the 600 top ranked proteins, we find that the prediction precision can achieve more than 45% improvement when CDLC is compared with DC.
