3.1. Study population
A total of 367 patients were recruited, with blood samples
from 361 and tumour samples from 241. The majority
(97.5%) of patients were of Caucasian origin, aged
29e82 years (median 57 years), and there was one male
patient. Apart from the expected distribution of poor
prognosis characteristics, there was no systematic difference
between HER2-positive and HER2-negative
patients.
