Differences in intensity-related variations were observed across the spec
tra between aqueous and organic phases. In bile aqueous phase spectrum, predominant absorbance bands were exhibited in the protein regions: zone 1 (3700– 3200 cm1)correspondingmainlytotheN––Hstretching (amide A) with contributions from O––H stretching of polysaccharides and intermolecular H bonding and zone 4 (1700–1500 cm1) corresponding to the C¼O stretching, N––H bending and C––N stretching modes (amide I and II bands).
