Mean values for the quantity of foods and nutrients consumed were
obtained from three 24-hour food recalls collected by telephone interview
with the child by trained dietitians (98% of participants had 3 recalls,
2% had 2 recalls) (Obarzanek et al., 2001). Parents were asked for details
of food preparationwhen needed. Datawere collected on 2weekdays and
1 weekend day, 8–12 weeks after recruitment.
