Hi Som,
Here are some information I put together in a hurry. Please let your team read through it and activate 3 devices. Then try login into the system, try
exploratory the feature on both bb10 client and desk top client. And please let me know in case any problems. Take your time as this app is more complicated than the IBM connections.
Meanwhile I will setup other system with Lab and prepare the test session. Please do not remove the IBM connection yet, in case some retest is needed.
Thanks
Christine
1. Basic about the EIM project
The EIM (Enterprise Instant Messenger) client software running on BlackBerry 10 device. We support IBM Sametime IM server, Microsoft Lync server ( both called EIM client) and Cisco CUPS server ( called Cisco client)
2. The servers listed below is for the Lync 2013. (others in the wiki, we will work on them later)
I have added the user account into the BES, please setup 3 devices (with 10.2.0, 10.2.1 and 10.3.0OS) activated against BES (activation password:1234), the previous released client will then be pushed onto device in the work space.
4. Basic features supported
• One to one chat
• Multiple party chat
• Account management
• Group management
• Send email or make call if the contact has email address and number in the address card ( sync from the outlook system in Lync case)
• Message will be shown in Hub
• New message alarm indication which follows the general rule on BlackBerry 10 device.
….
Also please know there are limitation too, some features desktop client support are not been supported by BlackBerry 10 client.
5. The Release test tasks – Feature Regression + 10.3.0 OS support
6. Wiki page I setup for this release
