Power and Authority
The employee shall have such power and authority to bind the employer as are expressed in the position guidelines referred to above and as the superior shall specify from time to time in writing. Otherwise the employee shall not have any power or authority to bind the employer without the express written approval of the superior. In particular, but without limiting the generality of the forgoing, the employee shall not (in the absence of the expressed authority as mentioned) be empowered to pledge the credit of the employer, extend credit on behalf of the employer or to make, vary, terminate or rescind contracts for the employer.
