We assume that VHF-3 and VHF-4 are CJ’s IG product. IMP and GMP content of these two products meet the requirement of global standard, 97~102%, while phosphate level shows increase compared to our internal reference. The reason why phosphate ion is remained in VHF-3 and VHF-4 is that manufacturing process was slightly changed for the process improvement since September 2014. Phosphoric acid (H3PO4) for the phosphorylation is used more than before and consequently phosphate ion remained in the finished product increased. CJ uses Phosphoric acid (H3PO4) for phosphate donor, which is a safe material approved as food additive. It is not relevant to Phosphoryl chloride (POCl3) used as phosphate source for Chinese nucleotide manufacturers.
