In recent years, several sample pretreatment techniques, such as solid-phase extraction (SPE) , stir-bar sorptive extraction (SBSE) and solid-phase microextraction (SPME), have been applied to the separation and pre-concentration of PAHs in coffee or tea samples. SPE has the drawback that the adsorbents must be packed into an SPE cartridge, which is laborious and difficult to operate.
