To evaluate the bonding performance of the joint specimens,
tensile strength tests were employed using a DWD-200D universal
testing machine. The microstructures of the specimens were
examined using a field emission scanning electron microscope
(FESEM, HITACH S4800) equipped with an Oxford energy dispersive
spectrometer (EDS). X-ray diffraction (XRD, D/max 2500, Cu-
Ka) analysis was conducted on the samples to determine the
crystallinity of the deposited and bonded surfaces, while the
amorphous as-deposited alloy sample was observed by transmission
electron microscopy (TEM, JEM-2010F).
