Body weights in the subchronic toxicity tests
Overall, the average body weights (g) and the growth of the 4 groups of Sprague Dawley rats fed
orally with mangosteen pericarp extract for the subchronic toxicity test increased during the testing period.
Treatment induced no mortality in either gender; however, slight decreases in body weight among the
female rats dosed at 50 mg/kg BW/day of mangosteen pericarp extract, between days 79-86, were noted;
