The Collection
Here is a collection of the topical roids that I had been using for 40+ cumulative years on my hands mostly. A couple of these were prescribed in the summer of 2010 for what my doc thought was scabies and fungal rash which I now know was steroid overdose symptoms at age 55. It just added insult to injury when I used heavy doses right before I discovered my addiction and stopped all of them. BTW, the insert shown in the pic does not tell the potential addiction one could get from these potent drugs so I started a petition to get warning labels on all of them.
You might wonder how I knew enough to stop using it? I did a search one night for "steroid cream side effects" and found a website called Addicted Skin by Kelly Palace. She had pics her skin and explained how she had gotten addicted to these creams and went through withdrawals after finding a California dermatologist who called it addiction or red skin syndrome.
Kelly is now president of the International Steroid Addiction Network (ITSAN) which currently has over 1000 members from almost 30 countries. She is very proactive in getting the word out and continues to lead the way to help thousands of people all over the world.
