Yesterday we visit Showa Auto Parts and Showa agreed to run trial of our ANKOR DYNE 30 MS (converting Atotech Fumetrol 21 LF) on 20 March. I saw the chrome plating solution yesterday that there was a lot of foam on the surface of solution. As per our conversation yesterday, please do the below preparation:
1. Collect the hard chrome plating solution from Showa to your lab. Check the surface tension and determine how much (for example :X ml/l) ANKOR DYNE 30 MS is needed to lower the surface tension to 40-45 Dyne/cm in the lab.
2. Checking the foam on the surface of plating solution by doing a plating test in beaker (60 ASD, 55-60 degC) after adding the required amount (X ml/l) of ANKOR DYNE 30 MS.
3. If there is a lot of foam in the beaker plating test, you have to reduce the addition of ANKOR DYNE 30 MS by 50% (for example: 0.5X ml/l). Then confirm the foaming again in the beaker plating test.
4. If the foam is OK, you need to inform Showa that we need to take a little time (one or two days) to consume some of the Atotech Fumetrol 21 LF. Therefore, at the first two days of conversion, just ask Showa to stop adding Atotech chemical. Start to add our ANKOR DYNE 30 MS as per the consumption of CrO3 (35 ml/kg CrO3).
5. If possible, bring your Stalogmometer to Showa to check the surface tension every day at the beginning of conversion. If the foam gets less, you may start to increase the addition of ANKOR DYNE 30 MS to lower the surface tension.
Please check with your stock of ANKOR DYNE 30 MS and let Arthit know how much you want to have for the trial in Showa Auto Parts
Hi Arthit,
