The Central Hospital of Quelimane will only be completed on September Next.
September is the new date for the formal delivery of the future central hospital infrastructure of Quelimane. Originally planned for last May the deadline was eventually extended to September next.
This information was given recently by the provincial director of Zambezia health department, Luisa Cumba.
Luisa Cumba added that the mobilization of material such as: Sand, stones, and other are also some facts that contributed for the delaying to end this construction, but up to now the level of physical execution of this infrastructure is close to 70 percent.
The construction works are being co-financed by the Mozambique government and the South Korea in an investment of 55 million US dollars.
The activities involves about 250 employees of which 180 are Mozambicans and Chinese and the remaining number are Koreans. The South Korea government is also investing 5 million USD dollars for construction of 34 houses for allocating the future workers of Quelimane future Central Hospital.
