Accountant - Insurance Investment Standards Analyst

A global investment firm in Boston, MA is seeking a CPA or similarly licenced individual with an understanding of international and insurance accounting standards. This person will join their Accounting Policy team for Investment Finance.

This role will be responsible for tracking changes to accounting standards across the industry, including US GAAP, IFRS, and NAIC standards, implementing and operationalizing new accounting policies, reporting on complex accounting problems and solutions, working on quarterly reporting, and building relationships in the firm and greater market.

Qualifications:


•7-10 years of experience of accounting experience, minimum of 4 years of public accounting experience, financial service industry preferred.
•CPA or equivalent required, MA in Accounting/Finance etc.
•Comprehensive understanding of GAAP, STAT, IFRS and experience tracking/researching standards and best practices. Experience providing solutions to complex accounting problems such as impairments, fair value of financial instruments, VIE, consolidation, and investment accounting.
