If the funeral os for an important or high-ranking person, the body is not placed lying down in its coffin, but is seated in a foetal position in a full-body-sized funeral urn. With knees drawn up to the chin, the body is impaled on a drain, and quicksilver may be poured into the mouth to encourage faster drying of the corpse. The body fluids, called zanies, drip into a container of sandalwood sawdust that, at the time of cremation, will be scattered around or under the corpse.
