[66] carried out experimental studies and rate-based process simulations of a laboratory scale CO2 absorption process using aqueous ammonia. Simulation results of the rate-based model were in good agreement with the experimental data of the CO2 absorption process. Besides, they optimized the key operating parameters in the CO2 absorption process, such as flow rate of flue gas, packed height of the absorber, NH3 concentration and temperature of the lean solvent flowing into the absorber.
