Moreover, it is an open question what the effect of controlling for changes in the composition of the workforce would be for the estimation of foreign wage premia in developing countries, where such premia are believed to be much larger. In order to better understand the implications of these new findings, it would be useful to have comparable evidence for a number of developing and developed countries. OECD (2008a) is the first study to provide such evidence and the main findings are discussed in Section 4 below.
