The growth control was obtained in drug-free medium. The Minimum
Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) of the isolates was defined
as the lowest concentration of the agent, which produces a
predominance decrease of turbidity (i.e., 90% of inhibition),
compared to that of the growth control (Velegraki et al.,
2004). The MIC data were reported as MIC values at which
50% (MIC50) and 90% (MIC90) of isolates growth were
inhibited.
