The same analogy could be seen in a manufacturing situation on a production line. Employing additional workers on that line could result in output increasing at a faster rate as the capital embodied within the production line becomes better utilised. Eventually, however, the capital becomes over-utilised and output increases at a lower rate of employment of additional labour.
