Limited customer base
Like many luxury brands in the premium luxury category, Louis Vuitton also has the weakness of having limited customers consisting mainly of the elite and super rich who want to make a statement and be distinctive from others.
Increased in debt burden
As of 2011, according to Louis Vuitton’s parent company, Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy has registered an increase in indebtedness (LVMH Annual Report 2011). High debt obligations could make it difficult for the company to obtain further loans to finance its operations as well as liability requirements which will no doubt limit the company’s ability to react to the changing business dynamics.
