In order to produce a computer with a monitor 240 kilos of fossil fuel, 1,500 kilos of water and 22 kilos of
chemicals are required. Increasing the lifespan of electronics and recycling are two important strategies to help
decrease the large-scale ecological footprint of electronics consumption. The photo shows a modern recycling
facility in Norway a country which, together with Sweden, leads the global recycling league.
