Dear Jeab,
My direct mobile telephone number is 66 81 877 9801.
Mr. Morten (in Denmark) asked me to wait, since he has now decided to also purchase and ship a tractor in the same container and ship the boat latter.
Morten and his Thai wife have shipped boats and other products with Khun Chuchai in the past and introduced me to Khun Chuchai, so I am waiting on Morten to get back to me on his schedule. I have given Morten your contact info and he said he plans to use your service. If he does not do something soon, I may need to ship alone or the tractor I am buying will not be available.
I am also having a problem getting a straight answer concerning what is required to get the import permit (license) for this tractor. My daughter called Khun Sa at the Department of Foreign Trade (Ministry of Commerce) and gave her the harmonized code number 8701.90.10.29 and the specification of the tractor and the only response was "send us a letter" and also a copy of the invoice, which we do not have. You would think there should be published laws and procedures that clearly state what is required and allowed. I asked Khun Chuchai about this, but did not receive a response. I have read there is a 10% penalty that needs to be paid if the tractor arrives before the import permit/license is issued, so this needs to be clearly understood before I ship.
Khun Jeab, Thank you for the email and I hope this brings you up to date.
Best Regards,
Dennis
