The specimens were studied, measured and photographed using a Zeiss Stemi DV4 stereomicroscope, equipped with a0.1 mm ocular micrometer. High-resolution digital photographs were taken using either white or UV light and then slightly processed with Adobe Photoshop CS5, only to remove background and to optimize brightness and contrast parameters fo rprinting. Measurements and pectinal tooth counts were taken toanalyze morphometric and meristic variation of the species. All measurements are reported in millimeters (mm). The description was made according to nomenclature and measurements of Stahnke (1970), except for the description of carination ofthe chelae of pedipalp, which was made according to Acosta,Candido, Buckup, and Brescovit (2008) and the carination of metasomal segments, which followed Francke (1977).
