Factors influencing sexually risky behavior
of female adolescent subjects: Nearly half of the
female adolescent subjects (n = 74; 48.1%) had a
moderate level of knowledge about sexual reproductive
health, while slightly over half (n = 83; 53.9%)
disapproved of sexual activity when one is still in
school. The vast majority of the female adolescent
subjects valued academic achievement (n = 141;
91.6%). Regarding perceptions of parental
involvement and monitoring, 40% (n = 62) felt the
presence of a moderate level of parental involvement,
while 39.6% (n = 61) indicated a moderate level of
parental monitoring.
