41.0 ± 0.4 kJ/mol and 14.2 ± 0.2 kJ/mol for binding of pABA with
a-CD and b-CD, respectively [10]. Comparative analysis of the data
reported in table 3 shows that the thermodynamic parameters corresponding
to complex formation in water and KCl solution are
very close. Difference between DcG, DcH and TDcS for these
systems is in the error limits. On the contrary, presence of KBr in
the solution influences the thermodynamics of complex formation.
Binding of pABA with all CDs under study in KBr solution is
characterized by less negative DcH and more positive TDcS values
in comparison with those obtained for pure water and KCl solution
(Table 3). This tendency does not depend on the CD cavity
dimensions.
