Joon Kim is a Korean artist, he has always been fascinated by the human body. In recent years he has started exploring its forms, its connections, its texture. And soon was added to the first research theme of the tattoo. Maybe it's because of his experience in the Korean army, which led him to be interested in what inked pattern, but in all cases it has brought in his latest project to unite the two. He then worked an unexpected material: porcelain. Its whiteness, gloss and smoothness make a reinvented skin, midway between the past and the future. Indeed, the white porcelain and blue of these artistic tattoos are not without reminding us of the blue-white porcelain that China invented millennia ago already. In smaller independent parts, Kim Joon recreates body unreal midway between two issues that have always followed.
