The same sort of deceptive tricks are used to photograph turkeys. when a tirkey is cooked, it gets wrinkles and the skin does not always look very appealing. So the photographer cooks it only part-way, so the skin look very tight, itis sewn with needle andthread underneath. Then the bird can be pained with redand brown food coloring or molasses to give it that " cooked " look. Finally, that handy tool, the blowtorch, is used to make the skin and legs look brown as if it had just come out of oven.
